What are PBS KIDS' educational goals and how are they supported?

For more than 50 years, PBS has been the go-to destination for high-quality children's content, available for free to young viewers and their families across the country. PBS KIDS has a rigorous, research-based approach to developing content and is focused on reaching kids ages 2-8 with fun, educational, and age- and developmentally-appropriate content to help prepare them for success in school and life.

All content from PBS KIDS (including series, shorts, games, and more) is curriculum-based, helping to teach early literacy, math, and computational thinking skills, along with foundational knowledge in science and social studies, and concepts in areas like the arts and health. PBS KIDS content also tries to model, and give kids the opportunity to practice, important everyday skills like critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

Parents and caregivers can find additional resources, like learning activities and supporting materials on PBS KIDS for Parents. Additional PBS KIDS resources for educators can be found on PBS LearningMedia.
