Do I need any special devices to view Passport content?

No. You can view Passport videos just by logging in to PBS.org and local station sites from your computer, smartphone and tablet.

Currently, PBS Passport content is available:

  • via your desktop computer or laptop using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge (see your local station website or PBS.org).
  • on PBS Video iOS and Android apps for smartphones and tablets
  • Apple TV
  • Roku
  • Chromecast
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Amazon Fire Stick
  • Android Smart TV
  • Samsung Smart TV (2017-2019 models)

We will expand access to additional devices and platforms over time.

It should be noted that Passport is not optimized for smart TVs, though we do offer an app for the Smart TVs listed above. In all other cases you can use an HDMI cord, however, for optimal viewing please use one of the options listed above.
